Where Ideas Meet and New Possibilities Take Shape
When different issues begin to speak to one another,
when different skills find ways to collaborate,
when people from diverse backgrounds spark new ideas through exchange—
what excites us is not a single path to success,
but what happens when things collide and evolve together.
Because the most powerful ecosystems are never built in isolation—
they grow richer by growing together.

Rationale
For early-stage nonprofit teams, having a place to work is more important than it may seem.
Before any ideal can take shape, reality often intervenes.
For many newly established NGOs and NPOs, the very first challenge is surprisingly practical:
Where do we work?
An office represents stability, connection, and collaboration.
But rent is also a significant fixed cost.
So what often happens is this:
teams spend time comparing prices, settle for the cheapest option, gather a few passionate partners,
and work hard side by side.
This can sustain operations for a while.
But over time, it is easy to become confined within one’s own world.
Without exposure to how other teams think and operate,
a lack of external response may be misread as “people just don’t understand,”
instead of an opportunity to learn and adapt.

Initiatives
n recent years, co-working spaces have become a new way of working.
But when we got to know the Plan b team, we realized they were thinking beyond simply “sharing space.”
They were asking deeper questions:
- How does space shape power and interaction?
- How have offices evolved, and why do they look the way they do today?
- How can shared spaces balance openness with focus?
- What kind of environment truly fosters creativity, exchange, and meaningful work?
a space where these ideas are put into practice.
Together, we decided to try a different kind of collaboration:
We would cover the rent,
so that nonprofit teams could reside at CIT free of charge.
This was not about funding a specific project.
It was about addressing a more fundamental question:
Do they have a place where they can truly work well?
Because we believe change does not emerge in isolation.
It takes shape gradually—through encounters, collaboration, and shared effort.
Impact
As different people entered the same space, new dynamics began to unfold.
Organizations such as:
For the startups already based there, this meant exposure to broader social and public issues.
Their perspectives expanded, and with it, their sense of what they were doing—and what more they could do.
Of course, we care about whether each team can grow steadily and sustain itself over time.
But what we look forward to even more are the unexpected outcomes:
we are curious about what emerges when these elements come together.
Because a truly vibrant ecosystem is never built on isolated effort—
it is created when everything grows richer, together.
